We believe the results of the Women and Books 2007 study will speak
volumes to publishers, bookstores, and women themselves, that women as
a whole are an untapped resource for more and better books to be
written, reviewed, and purchased by a network that holds huge influence
and buying power potential. It’s good business to see a need and
to fill it. We hope to illustrate - by providing statistics from our
study, and by getting the message out - just how big that need is.
We believe a better understanding of the publishing process and tools
for each step on the publishing timeline, will help more women
interested in writing non-fiction books become published. If we
increase the number of non-fiction books being written by women –
the chances of seeing more women on non-fiction best-sellers’
lists increases too.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the following team of individuals who helped make Women and Books 2007 successful.
Scott Blake, Kristy Brake, Sydney Brake, Amy Brice, Mimi Bundy,
Michelle Bushman, David Bushman, Mike Bydalek, Renee Covert, Danielle
Franke, Melinda Free, Phil Hartman, Robin Lunt, Scott Lunt, Gwyn
Nichols, and Tanya Shoenwolf.
We thank you for sharing your time, talents and abilities with Women and Books 2007. |
